Cosmetic Laser Treatments
Advanced laser resurfacing for sun damage, wrinkles and scarring
Cosmetic Use of Laser Treatments
Our North East Melbourne specialists work with advanced laser platforms to target aesthetic skin concerns and refine your skin’s surface and appearance.
Fine Lines & Deep Wrinkles
As tissue matures, structural proteins weaken, leading to visible creases around the eyes, smoker’s lines and facial wrinkles. Advanced laser technology can deliver controlled thermal energy to stimulate collagen production and skin remodelling, helping improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, redness, pigmentation and certain types of scarring.
Visible Capillaries & Redness
Fine red webs, broken capillaries and permanent facial flushing can cause an uneven skin tone. For extensive vascular issues or conditions like rosacea, our team uses targeted vascular laser sessions through our Medical Laser Treatments page to seal overactive vessels beneath the surface.
Sun Damage & Dull Skin Quality
Chronic exposure to UV rays can contribute to pigmentation, redness, uneven skin tone and changes in skin texture. Advanced laser treatments can target visible signs of sun damage while stimulating collagen production to support healthier, brighter-looking skin.
Pigmentation & Sunspots
Sunspots, freckles, and age spots represent clusters of uneven melanin. Targeted pigment lasers target these brown patches, shattering pigment blocks into tiny particles that your body clears away in its natural processes.
Acne Scars & Structural Blemishes
Pitted ice-pick, boxcar and rolling acne scars alter skin texture permanently. Laser treatments can support collagen remodelling and improve the appearance of certain acne scars, helping to create smoother and more even-looking skin.

The level of discomfort depends on the type of laser used. Most patients experience only mild discomfort, often described as a warm sensation or light tingling. For gentler laser treatments, numbing cream is usually not required. For more intensive procedures, a topical numbing cream may be applied to help ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.
Strictly avoid sun exposure and tanning products for at least four weeks prior to your visit. Pause any home skincare products containing high-strength vitamin A, glycolic acid or salicylic acid for five days before your treatment.
Recovery varies depending on the treatment performed. Many vascular and pigment laser treatments cause temporary redness or mild swelling that generally settles within a few hours to several days.
Sun damage and deep wrinkles may see improvement from a single high-density fractional or hybrid laser treatment. More structural concerns like deep acne scars or stubborn pigmentation may require a series of three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart to help achieve the intended goal.
