Dr Nishan Amarasinghe

Dr Nishan Amarasinghe is a consultant dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, with experience across Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.

He completed his medical degree in Sri Lanka and undertook specialist dermatology training, graduating with an MD in Dermatology. He later continued his training in Melbourne across multiple institutions, including the Skin Health Institute, Alfred Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and St Vincent’s Hospital, before obtaining his fellowship in Australia.

Dr Amarasinghe has presented at dermatology conferences in Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka, and remains actively involved in both public and private practice. He holds a public appointment at the Alfred Hospital and also consults at the Skin Health Institute.

He provides care for a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer and melanoma, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair and scalp disorders, and pigmentary conditions.

Dr Amarasinghe is known for his thorough and practical approach to patient care and is able to consult in Sinhala.
