Dr Flora Poon

Dr Poon holds public appointments at Monash Health and Northern Health, and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. She is experienced in managing patients with diverse skin types and cultural backgrounds, and focuses on delivering evidence-based care tailored to each individual.

She completed her dermatology training across major Victorian teaching hospitals, including St Vincent’s Hospital, Monash Health, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Royal Women’s Hospital, Austin Health, Alfred Health, the Royal Children’s Hospital, and the Skin Health Institute.

Dr Poon is actively involved in clinical research and has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and international collaborations, including with Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Oxford. She was awarded a scholarship to undertake a fellowship year in Oxford, where she gained further experience in complex dermatological conditions, including skin cancer, inflammatory diseases, and hair and scalp disorders.

Dr Poon remains committed to delivering modern evidence-based dermatology and to mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
